Dhanapati Panja was a dermatologist and the younger brother of Ganapati Panja. Published accounts of the family place both brothers in Bengal’s early history of specialist skin medicine.[1][2]

He was the father of dermatologist and parliamentarian Ranjit Kumar Panja and lawyer and Union minister Ajit Kumar Panja. Both sons’ parliamentary biographies record his name.[3][4]

Included at the project owner’s suggestion. The cited sources establish his medical and family background; a separate published source explicitly identifying his own community affiliation has not yet been located.
