Bankura · Writer and scholar

Satya Kinkar Sahana was a writer and scholar from Bankura whose interests ranged across poetry, literature, philosophy and religion. Dutta discusses his Sakuntala Rahasya and Hindu Dharma among the literary contributions of the community.[1]

The Bengali catalogue of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira’s library lists Kalika, Malika and Juthika under his name, with the title “Bidyabinod.” These entries preserve a bibliographic record of his writing.[2]

Dutta includes Sahana of Bankura in his account of Ugra Kshatriya intellectual life, p. 314.[1]
