Ranjit Kumar Panja combined a career in medicine with public service. His parliamentary biography records his education at Medical College, Calcutta, and the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. He taught dermatology at Medical College, Calcutta, where he was a professor from 1974 to 1990.[1]
